Tasting Note

Ripe black cherry and plum with cedar, tobacco, leather and subtle soy/umami notes. Supple mid-palate, polished tannins, moderate acidity and limestone-driven freshness; savory, long finish.

Roast lamb, braised beef, duck confit, mushroom risotto; Asian pairings: Peking duck, char siu, red‑braised pork belly, mushroom hot pot, soy‑braised dishes.


Production Method

Hand‑harvested; fermented in thermoregulated concrete and stainless vats with malolactic fermentation in tank; aged c.18 months in French oak (≈40–50% new).

10.4 ha estate on the Saint‑Émilion limestone plateau, long managed by Etablissements Jean‑Pierre Moueix; known for a high Merlot proportion; vineyards later merged into Belair‑Monange after 2011.
