Tasting Note

Bright ruby with blackcurrant, red plum, violet and white pepper. Silky, concentrated palate, fine minerality and balanced acidity, long silky finish with spice and tobacco nuances.

Roast lamb, braised beef, venison, aged hard cheeses; Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean barbecue (bulgogi), mushroom hot pot.


Production Method

Traditional Bordeaux vinification with fermentation in vats, malolactic conversion and approx. 12–18 months élevage in French oak (est. ~40% new barrels).

Château Magdelaine (Jean‑Pierre Moueix estate) on limestone-rich soils near Ausone. Small historic Saint‑Émilion property; merged into Bélair‑Monange after 2011.
