Tasting Note
Concentrated blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, tobacco and pencil-lead notes; black pepper spice, firm fine-grained tannins, savory gravelly minerality and a long focused finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, rib‑eye steak, beef bourguignon, aged cheddar. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ (bulgogi short ribs), Cantonese roasted beef, Sichuan pepper beef.

Production Method
Hand-harvested, fermented in temperature-controlled vats with malolactic fermentation; matured ~18 months in French oak barrels (c.75% new).

Vineyard Info
Owned and run by the Cazes family since 1939; ~90–100 ha on gravel ridges in Pauillac. Classified 5ème Cru (1855).
