Tasting Note

Concentrated black-fruit core (cassis, blackberry) with graphite, pencil-lead, wet stone and toasty oak. Monumental, tightly structured, very firm tannins and exceptional length; will age for decades.


Food Pairing

Western: roast ribeye, lamb, venison, beef stews, aged cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ (galbi), braised beef with soy, rich Sichuan beef dishes.


Production Method

Hand-harvested; fermented in wood, concrete and stainless vats; malolactic fermentation; aged ~18–20 months in oak (50–100% new depending on vintage).


Vineyard Info

Second Growth (1855) estate owned by the Delon family; Grand Clos parcels border Château Latour; ~97–98 ha under vine, long-established Cabernet-dominant plantings.
