Tasting Note
Full-bodied; ripe black cherry, plum and kirsch framed by garrigue, black tea and anise spice. Silky, ripe tannins, discreet oak and a long, mineral finish.

Food Pairing
Western: rack of lamb, wild boar, duck with pepper sauce, aged cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean barbecue, Sichuan-style beef, mushroom hotpot.

Production Method
Hand-harvested old-vine Grenache/Mourvèdre/Syrah; co-fermented with native yeasts, 18–20 day maceration, malolactic in concrete, ~12 months in small French oak (substantial new oak).

Vineyard Info
Château La Nerthe, one of the oldest Châteauneuf-du-Pape estates (records from 1560). Estate-grown, organic-certified, uses very old vines (c.85–100 years) for this cuvée.
