Tasting Note

Concentrated black cherry, blackberry and plum with espresso, graphite and cocoa notes; toasted oak, truffle and tobacco; ripe, velvety palate, plush tannins and a long mineral finish.

Roast lamb, beef ribeye, braised short ribs, game (venison), duck confit, aged hard cheeses; Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Sichuan-style beef, mushroom hot pot.


Production Method

Hand-harvested, whole-berry fermentation in open-top vats; very low yields; aged ~18 months in 100% new French oak; minimal fining/filtration.


Vineyard Info

Tiny 4.5 ha estate owned by the von Neipperg family; low-yield philosophy, biodynamic-inspired practices and tiny production (c.650–1,000 cases). Promoted to Premier Grand Cru Classé (B) in 2012.
