Tasting Note

Perfumed black and red berries, kirsch and blackcurrant with cocoa, mint-chocolate and wet-stone minerality; silky texture, integrated tannins, lively acidity and a lingering, mineral-tinged finish.

Production Method

Hand-harvested; destemmed and fermented in temperature-controlled vats with controlled maceration; matured 12–18 months in French oak (minor proportion new); blended and bottled after fining/filtration.


Vineyard Info

Château L'Évangile (≈22 ha) on the Pomerol plateau, owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) since 1990. Blason de L'Evangile is the estate's second wine, made from selected vats/younger vines to mirror the grand vin's style.
