Tasting Note
Deep garnet with violet highlights. Ripe blackcurrant and blackberry, black pepper, cedar, cigar box and dark chocolate. Full-bodied, concentrated, refined tannins and balanced acidity with a long, spicy finish.

Grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs; Western-style BBQ, aged cheeses. Asian pairings: Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Chinese char siu or Sichuan beef, teriyaki dishes, yakitori (chicken skewers).
Production Method
Grapes from old vines in Vistalba; fermented in temperature-controlled tanks and aged ~12 months in French/American oak (new and used), then rested in bottle before release.

Kaiken (by Aurelio Montes) established as Montes’ Argentine project in 2002. Estate in Mendoza with vineyards in Vistalba and Uco Valley; blend of modern winemaking and traditional old-vine fruit.
