Tasting Note

Fragrant red-cherry and plum core with strawberry, floral rose notes, warm spice, subtle forest-floor and smoke. Medium–full, velvety texture with refined, polished tannins, bright acidity and a long, mineral-tinged finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast duck, coq au vin, beef bourguignon, mushroom risotto, pork tenderloin. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, miso-glazed fish, teriyaki salmon, Korean BBQ pork.


Production Method

Hand-harvested, multiple selective picks; partial whole-cluster fermentation (~25–30%); fermented in tanks/barrels and aged 12–18 months in French oak (≈25–30% new).

Maison Joseph Drouhin, founded 1880, owns Clos des Mouches (purchased c.1921). Family-run négociant and domaine, practicing organic/biodynamic viticulture on estate holdings.
