Tasting Note
Concentrated dark berries and plum with black pepper, licorice and violet lift; oak-driven vanilla and smoky spice. Velvety, fine-grained tannins, bright acidity and a long, chalky finish.

Western: chargrilled ribeye, slow‑braised lamb shanks, venison stew, mushroom ragù. Asian: Korean BBQ (galbi), Chinese char siu or Sichuan beef, teriyaki‑style grilled meats, Indonesian rendang.
Production Method
Grapes cooled after harvest, gently crushed, fermented (open vats) and matured ~12 months in French oak (300–2,500L barrels) before bottling with screw cap.

Lodge Hill (Wolta Wolta) purchased by Jim Barry in 1977; Shiraz planted from 1979. 329‑acre eastern‑range site with chocolatey loam over siltstone, high elevation and free‑draining soils.
