Tasting Note

Pale straw with lime, green pear, grapefruit and white florals, bright citrus acidity, steely/mineral core and talc-like texture; saline, chalky finish.

Production Method

Hand-harvested Assyrtiko fermented mainly in stainless steel to preserve acidity; small portion (reserve) on lees and limited oak influence for texture before blending and bottling.

Jim Barry family estate; first Australian Assyrtiko planted 2012 at Lodge Hill in Clare Valley. Managed by Peter Barry, family-run winery established in 1960s.
