Tasting Note

Intense lime, lemon and green-apple fruit with talc, lavender and flinty petrol notes. Bone-dry, razor-sharp acidity, steely minerality and very long, precise finish.

Western: oysters, grilled prawns, roast pork with apple, goat or sheep’s-milk cheeses. Asian: sushi/sashimi, Vietnamese spring rolls, Thai green curry, spicy Sichuan or Malaysian dishes.

Hand-harvested from the single Polish Hill site; certified organic viticulture; cold stainless-steel fermentation, unoaked, minimal-intervention winemaking; bottled under screwcap.

J. Grosset (Jeffrey Grosset) is a benchmark Clare Valley producer since the 1980s. Polish Hill is his flagship single-vineyard on shallow shale/slate soils, farmed organically and noted for concentrated, ageworthy riesling.
