Tasting Note
Concentrated violet colour, intense black‑berry and red‑berry aromas with violet florals; full-bodied, ripe firm tannins, hints of chocolate and balsamic, fresh acidity and a persistent finish.

Roasted red meats, game, aged cheeses (Azeitão, Roquefort), beef short ribs, braised lamb; Asian pairings: Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu, Peking duck, teriyaki beef, spicy Sichuan dishes.

Production Method
Hand-harvested; strict sorting, gentle crush, gravity‑fed fermentation; spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentations; ~21–28 days maceration; 18 months in new French oak barrels.

Vineyard Info
Herdade do Arrepiado Velho (Sousel) is a family estate planted from 2002 on schist soils (33 ha). Project led by the Antunes family with enologist António Maçanita; known for modern winemaking and high‑quality Alentejo reds.
