Tasting Note
Dark purple color. Aromas of ripe black and red berries, violet and spice. Palate shows blackberry, plum, cocoa and light floral notes with balanced acidity, rounded ripe tannins and a persistent, slightly herbal finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled/roast red meats, BBQ, roast lamb, stews, aged cheeses. Asian: Korean BBQ, char siu, Szechuan/spicy beef, aromatic roast duck, rich noodle dishes.

Production Method
Hand-harvested grapes, sorting and destemming; fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless tanks and lagares with regular punch-downs; partial ageing (~9 months) in French oak barrels before bottling.

Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, family estate bought by the Soares family in 1998; ~80 ha of vineyards in Albernoa, Baixo Alentejo; recognized for modern winemaking and rural enotourism.
