Tasting Note
Deep crimson. Fragrant blackberry, blueberry and ripe plum with anise, rosemary, black pepper, vanilla and cedar. Vibrant core of blackberry and mulberry, pink pepper, nutmeg, fine powdery tannins, bright acidity and a very long, mineral-tinged finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, beef stews, aged cheddar. Asian: Korean BBQ, char siu, spicy Sichuan beef, lamb curry, teriyaki-glazed meats.

Production Method
Hand-harvested fruit; gentle crushing and open-top fermenters with daily pump-overs/punch-downs; pressed to seasoned French oak hogsheads and matured 18 months before blending and bottling.

Family-owned Henschke (est. 1868). Hill of Roses is a limited single-block release from the Hill of Grace nursery 'Post Office Block' (planted 1989), produced as part of Henschke's single-vineyard program.
