Tasting Note

Perfumed blackberry, blueberry and Satsuma plum with violet, star anise, black tea and cedar. Palate: concentrated dark fruit, crushed herbs, black licorice, fine velvety tannins and layered oak; long elegant finish.


Food Pairing

Western: grilled ribeye, roast lamb, venison, beef bourguignon, mushroom risotto. Asian: char siu, Korean BBQ, spicy Sichuan beef, braised beef cheek, roasted shiitake with miso.


Production Method

Hand-harvested, small-batch open‑top fermentation; matured 21 months in 84% new French and 16% American hogsheads; bottled under Vinolok for museum release.

Henschke family winemakers since 1868. Hill of Grace is a single historic Eden Valley vineyard with pre‑phylloxera vines (planted c.1860s) on own roots; tiny yields and iconic single‑vineyard bottlings.
