Tasting Note

Blackcurrant, blackberry and plum with tobacco, espresso, licorice and smoky oak. Suave, plush texture with velvety tannins and a long, slightly mineral finish.


Food Pairing

Western: grilled ribeye, roast lamb, mushroom or porcini risotto; Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ short ribs, beef rendang, miso-glazed aubergine.


Production Method

Hand-harvested; parcel vinified in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats; matured ~14–18 months in French oak (about 50% new).


Vineyard Info

Château Haut-Bergey, Garcin family owners since 1991; estate dates to 15th century. Vineyard on gravel soils in Léognan; converted to organic/biodynamic practices in recent years.
