Tasting Note
Fresh herbal smoke with peppermint, pine and cucumber; citrus (yuzu, grapefruit), green apple and melon, light vanilla and oak; subtle, clean smoky finish.

Food Pairing
Western: smoked salmon, grilled chicken, roast pork, goat cheese, roasted vegetables. Asian: sashimi, tempura, yakitori, miso-glazed fish, unagi (grilled eel), light sushi.

Production Method
Single malt from 100% malted barley, distilled in pot stills; blend of lightly and heavily peated malts, matured in American oak and various casks; NAS, bottled at 43% ABV.

Produced by Suntory at the Hakushu distillery (founded 1973), set in the Mt. Kaikomagatake forest; known for pristine mountain water and herbaceous, lightly smoky single malts.
