Tasting Note
Bright golden with a fine mousse. Fresh citrus and orchard fruits (lemon, pear, red apple) with toasted brioche, hazelnut, delicate spice and a pronounced mineral, long finish.
Food Pairing
Seared scallops, lobster, oysters, smoked salmon, lemon-roast chicken, creamy risotto; Asian: sushi and sashimi, tempura prawns, dim sum, light Thai seafood curries.
Production Method
Traditional method (second fermentation in bottle). Whole-bunch pressed, settled 24h; primary fermentation in stainless steel with a small percentage in old oak. Minimum 26 months on lees; bottled July 2022.

Gusbourne Estate, planted from 2004 on chalk soils in Kent. Founded by Andrew Weeber; majority share sold to Lord Michael Ashcroft in 2013. Estate-focused producer of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
