Awards/Ratings
reviewers note its ageworthiness, complexity and quality for the 2020 vintage
Tasting Note
Red and black fruits (redcurrant, cherry, plum) with bell pepper, orange peel, cocoa and forest-floor spice. Medium-plus body, bright acidity, fine-grained/firm tannins and a chalky, mineral-driven, savory finish. Ageworthy and layered.
Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, herb-crusted lamb, grilled pork, wild mushroom risotto, charcuterie. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ short ribs, braised pork belly, mushroom hot pot, mapo tofu (milder spice).
Production Method
Hand-harvested; 100% destemmed; indigenous yeast fermentation in concrete with 10–28 day maceration; ~18 months ageing in French oak (c.80% new); bottled after additional tank/bottle rest, often unfiltered.
