Tasting Note
White pepper and spicy oak up front with bitter cherry and tangy orange zest, incense and sandalwood; background toffee, dark chocolate and almond. Long, resinous finish with mandarin and nutty notes.
Food Pairing
Western: roasted duck, aged cheddar, dark chocolate, roasted almonds, glazed pork belly. Asian: miso-glazed black cod, yakitori, teriyaki beef, rich ramen, soy-and-ginger glazed fish.
Production Method
Highland single malt distilled from malted barley; part-matured in rare Japanese mizunara oak and combined with whisky matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, NAS limited edition.
