Tasting Note
Nose of apple blossom, candied lemon and freshly baked brioche. Palate shows rich vanilla, sweet brioche, pear sorbet, sandalwood and white grape. Long, opulent and lingering finish.
Food Pairing
Western: foie gras, aged cheeses, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, crème brûlée. Asian: Peking duck, miso-glazed black cod, rich sushi (fatty tuna), char siu, mildly spiced Thai dishes.
Production Method
Distilled from 100% malted barley, matured 23 years in American and European oak casks, then finished up to six months in rare French cuvée (Champagne-style) oak casks. Bottled at 40% ABV.
