Tasting Note

Very intense blackcurrant aroma with a slightly peppery edge; syrupy, tart-sweet palate of ripe cassis, subtle seed bitterness and a long jammy finish.

Western: cheesecake, chocolate desserts, crème brûlée, panna cotta, blue cheese, foie gras, roasted duck, lamb. Asian: Peking duck, hoisin or plum-glazed pork, red-cooked pork (hong shao rou), black-sesame desserts, matcha/red-bean sweets.

Maceration of ripe blackcurrants in neutral spirit, sweetened with sugar (double-infused for Impérial). Filtered and bottled; no artificial colours or preservatives.
