Awards/Ratings

Producer technicals and tasting notes: Gibson Wines product pages (2023). Selected coverage: The Australian (2024 Burkes Hill Riesling cited at 93 points); Global Fine Wine Challenge / judges’ notes for Burkes Hill (2022 scores reported ~94/96/93); Winepilot/Angus Hughson review (Burkes Hill 2021 ~92)

Tasting Note

Very pale with green tints. Lifted aromas of grapefruit, orange blossom, banana and bath salts. Zesty lemon and lime drive a pure, mineral palate with bright acidity and a long, chalky finish.

Food Pairing

Crispy-skin barramundi, grilled white fish, oysters, ceviche, roast chicken with lemon, goat’s cheese; Asian: sashimi/sushi, steamed fish with ginger & soy, Thai green curry, spicy Szechuan tofu.

Production Method

Fruit from a dry-grown single site; cool fermentation in stainless steel with minimal lees contact and low intervention to preserve aromatics; bottled to retain freshness.
