Awards/Ratings
High critic scores reported (examples: James Suckling 94, Wine Enthusiast 93, Wine Spectator 92 for Mumm Blanc de Blancs / RSRV editions)
Tasting Note
Bright citrus (lemon, grapefruit), white orchard fruit (pear, apple), fresh flowers, lemon meringue and delicate brioche; very fine mousse, pronounced minerality and a crisp, long finish.
Food Pairing
West: oysters, lobster, scallops, ceviche, smoked salmon, light chicken or blanquette, soft cheeses. Asian: sushi/sashimi, sashimi-grade fish, tempura, seafood gyoza, light Thai or Vietnamese seafood salads, miso-glazed scallops.
Production Method
Méthode traditionnelle (secondary fermentation in bottle); sourced from Cramant Grand Cru Chardonnay, minimum three years on lees, light dosage (~6 g/L) and reportedly bottled at a lower pressure (~4.5 bars) for subtle sparkle.
