Tasting Note

Rich amber Cognac showing dried apricot, candied orange, honey, vanilla, gingerbread, toasted oak and a pronounced rancio; warm, layered and elegant with a long finish.


Food Pairing

Western: foie gras, blue cheese, dark chocolate, roasted duck, grilled lamb. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, miso-glazed black cod, spiced nuts and sesame appetizers.


Production Method

Double distillation in copper Charentais pot-stills; matured ~25 years in Limousin oak casks in Frapin’s humid and dry cellars; single-estate vintage bottling.

Produced at Château Fontpinot by the family-owned Frapin estate in Grande Champagne; ~240 ha of Ugni Blanc, single-estate production with deep historical roots back to 1270.
