Tasting Note
Golden-yellow Bourgogne Chardonnay from old vines: aromas of apple, apricot, citrus and oak spice with buttered-nut and subtle vanilla. Medium–full body, lively acidity, creamy texture and a long, spicy finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast chicken, mushroom risotto, grilled/poached shellfish (scallops, lobster), creamy cheeses (Brie, Gruyère). Asian: miso-glazed cod, sushi/sashimi (oily fish), tempura, Thai green curry with chicken, Chinese roast pork.
Production Method
Sourced from Vieilles Vignes (old vines); hand-harvested, fermented with natural/selected yeasts and aged partly in French oak barrels (some new). Low-intervention, minimal sulfur additions.
Vineyard Info
Produced by Domaine Pierre/François Labet (Château de la Tour), a long-standing family estate in Clos de Vougeot. The Labet label was created to offer carefully managed Bourgogne wines from contracted old-vine plots.
