Tasting Note
Powerful Bussia: dried cherry, red raspberry, rose petal, tar, licorice and forest‑floor notes. Dense, structured palate with muscular dusty tannins, bright acidity and a long, savory finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roasted or braised red meats, osso buco, lamb, game, porcini risotto, aged cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (galbi), soy-braised short ribs, mushroom hotpot or miso-glazed dishes.
Production Method
Certified-organic vineyards; hand-harvested Nebbiolo, temperature‑controlled fermentation with extended maceration, aged mainly in large Slavonian oak casks (some neutral wood) for ~24–36 months, bottled with minimal filtration.
Vineyard Info
Small family estate in Bussia Soprana (Monforte d’Alba). Organic farming since the early 1990s; vineyards include Colonnello, Cicala and Mondoca. Limited-production, family-run operation with historic ties and a winemaking collaboration/management relationship with Ceretto.
