Concentrated black cherry, plum and wild berry fruit with sandalwood, tobacco, graphite and leather notes; spicy, savory core and very long, polished finish.

Production Method
Hand-harvested; separate fermentations (Merlot, Sangiovese) in stainless steel; 14–18 day macerations; aged ~18 months in French oak (≈70% new), then concrete.

Produced by the Mazzei family at Castello di Fonterutoli (family estate since 1435); Siepi vineyard (260m) known for deep Alberese soils and Merlot/Sangiovese plantings.
