Tasting Note
Rich, dark black- and red-fruit core (blackberry, black cherry) with underbrush, leather, tobacco and cedar oak; concentrated, powerful and long on the finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roasted lamb, bistecca alla fiorentina, braised beef, stewed game, aged Pecorino/Parmigiano. Asian: Korean BBQ, Peking duck, Sichuan braised beef, char siu, grilled wagyu.

Production Method
Hand-harvested; fermentation at ~26–28°C with 14–18 days maceration; aged ~18 months in small French oak (c.70% new), followed by 3–4 months in concrete.

Produced by Castello di Fonterutoli (Mazzei family, estate since 1435); 117 ha estate in Chianti Classico, focus on rocky, calcareous soils. Concerto first released 1981 as a Super-Tuscan.
