Tasting Note

Intense red berries, violet and rose petals, orange peel and volcanic minerality; lively acidity, fine tannins and a long, saline finish. (Fresh, perfumed, savory.)

Production Method

Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, extended maceration (~60 days), aged in glass/resin (fibreglass) vats, bottled without added SO2.

Produced by Frank Cornelissen from old alberello vines in Contrada Porcaria (Feudo di Mezzo) on Etna; natural, low-intervention farming and no/ minimal added sulfites. First PA bottling c.2014.
