Tasting Note

Silky, medium‑full Pomerol: black cherry, blueberry preserves, Morello cherry, licorice, cocoa and warm spice with subtle floral and menthol notes; soft texture and a lingering, gently spicy finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast rack of lamb, grilled ribeye, duck confit, mushroom risotto, mature cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ short ribs, soy-braised beef, umami mushroom dishes.


Production Method

Hand-harvested; vinified in small concrete vats and aged 16–18 months in French oak (partial new oak); sourced from gravel-rich parcels.

Château Trotanoy (c.7–7.5 ha) on Pomerol plateau near Pétrus; part of JP Moueix holdings; L’Espérance de Trotanoy is the estate’s limited second wine (introduced 2009).
