Tasting Note
Dense blackcurrant, blackberry and plum with bay leaf, sage and spearmint; bitter/dark chocolate, clove and cedar; fine chalky tannins and a long, poised finish.

Western: grilled ribeye/steak, roast lamb, beef stew, aged cheddar. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Chinese char siu or Sichuan beef, teriyaki-style grilled beef, Malaysian beef rendang.

Production Method
Blended from select Elderton parcels and matured in French oak puncheons (approx. 15% new) for ~24 months prior to bottling.

Family-owned Elderton Wines (Ashmead family); estate in Nuriootpa on old vines first planted 1894. Founded by Neil & Lorraine Ashmead; now run by their sons Cameron and Allister.
