Tasting Note

Perfumed black-and-red cherry, raspberry, rose petal, spice and liquorice; medium–full-bodied with silky fine tannins, bright acidity and a long, layered, elegant finish. Ripe and dense yet refined.

Hand-harvested; partial whole-cluster fermentation (≈20–25%); 2–3 week maceration in small open vats with indigenous yeasts; aged 16–20 months in French oak (about 80% new).

Domaine Drouhin-Laroze: historic family estate (Laroze holdings from 1850, merged with Drouhin in 1919) based in Gevrey/Chambolle, owning multiple Grand Cru parcels (~11.5 ha total); run by successive generations focused on traditional Burgundian élevage.
