Tasting Note

Rich vanilla, caramel and toasted oak with roasted blue agave, dark chocolate, cinnamon and white pepper. Silky, full-bodied and smooth with a long, warm, slightly spicy finish.


Food Pairing

Western: grilled steak, roasted pork, aged Manchego, dark chocolate desserts. Asian: grilled/soy-glazed pork belly, Korean BBQ, sashimi/tuna tataki, spicy Sichuan or Thai dishes.


Production Method

100% Blue Weber agave; cooked, mashed and double-distilled (small-batch pot still for final run); aged minimum 2.5 years in used American white oak/bourbon barrels.

Founded by Don Julio González in 1942; produced at La Primavera distillery in Jalisco. Brand is now owned by Diageo and made in small batches honoring traditional methods.
