Tasting Note
Crisp lemon and green apple with pear and melon notes, floral and light mineral accents. Bright acidity, light-bodied and lively with a clean, slightly acidulous finish.
Food Pairing
Western: seafood (oysters, prawns), grilled fish, goat cheese, salads, aperitif with kir. Asian: sushi/sashimi, tempura, light Thai or Vietnamese seafood dishes, ceviche, lightly spiced stir-fries.
Production Method
Grapes whole-pressed; alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts, thermo-regulated malolactic fermentation in stainless steel; aged ~8 months on fine lees to preserve freshness.
Vineyard Info
Domaine de la Jobeline, a family estate in Verzé (Mâconnais). ~11 ha on clay-limestone soils; some old vines (1957). Estate relaunched from the Maillet family, winery built 2014. Small production (~5,000 bottles for this cuvée).
