Tasting Note

Chalky minerality, beeswax and grilled lemon with green apple, smoked almond and oyster-shell notes; concentrated, textured and phenolic with vibrant acidity and a long saline finish.

Grilled or poached salmon, lobster with beurre blanc, roast chicken, soft goat cheese; oysters, sashimi/sushi, miso-glazed fish, tempura, spicy Thai or Vietnamese seafood dishes.


Production Method

Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed; native-yeast fermentation and 18 months in older French oak barrels; bottled without fining and minimally filtered.

Dog Point Vineyard, founded by ex-Cloudy Bay winemakers James Healy and Ivan Sutherland; family-owned estate managing Section 94 (planted 1992) with organic/biodynamic practices, low yields and hand-harvest.
