Tasting Note
Luminous golden dessert wine with dried apricot, honey, orange peel, saffron and lanolin. Unctuous, intensely sweet yet lifted by bright citrus acidity and spice; very long, complex finish.
Food Pairing
Foie gras, blue/roquefort cheeses, apricot tart, crème brûlée; roasted duck or pork with fruit sauces, nutty desserts; spicy East Asian dishes (Thai curry, Peking duck), sweet-savory Chinese pastries.
Production Method
Hand-harvested, berry-by-berry selection of botrytised grapes; macerated in fermenting must, gently pressed, fermented in steel and small oak barrels, aged ~2 years in 225L Hungarian oak.
