Tasting Note
Ripe peach, apricot and white blossom with honeyed citrus, toasted almond and subtle vanilla. Creamy, waxy texture balanced by bright, lively acidity and flinty/mineral undertones; long, spiced oak-tinged finish.

Roasted poultry, creamy pasta, pork belly, mushroom risotto, grilled prawns, oysters and seared scallops; Asian: miso-glazed fish, sushi, Thai green curry, mild Szechuan or Cantonese seafood dishes.
Production Method
Handpicked old-vine fruit, whole-bunch gentle pressing, natural fermentation in French oak (c.20% new) with indigenous yeasts, ~20% malolactic, aged 10–11 months on lees without bâtonnage.

De Morgenzon is a Stellenbosch estate (c.55 ha) owned by the Appelbaum family. Famous for old-vine Chenin (some blocks planted 1972) on decomposed granite soils and low-yielding, sustainably managed vineyards near False Bay.
