Awards/Ratings
Burghound 86-88 (2020). Widely reviewed and praised for perfumed fruit, freshness and value by trade outlets and retailers
Tasting Note
Perfumed pinot with lavender, peony and juicy red berries (raspberry, redcurrant), light menthol and chalky/sage notes. Velvety, mouthwatering texture, bright acidity and a long, saline-tinged finish. Dangerously easy to drink.
Food Pairing
Western: medium-rare beef with béarnaise, roasted duck, mushroom risotto, pork ribs. Asian: miso-glazed salmon, char siu (BBQ pork), soy-teriyaki duck, umami mushroom hotpots, Korean bulgogi.
Production Method
Hand-harvested; ~60% whole-cluster fermentation, 11-day maceration with regular punch-downs and pump-overs. Pressed, settled two weeks, 13 months in oak (≈25% new), racked, rested and bottled without fining or filtration.
