Awards/Ratings
reviewers/retailers describe the 2022 Côte de Nuits Villages from David Duband as elegant and long-lived (typical critic range for similar village wines ~87–90 pts)
Tasting Note
Fresh red berries, cherry and raspberry with rose-petal florals, light spice and earth/mineral notes. Medium-bodied, refined tannins and an elegant, slightly savory finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, beef bourguignon, coq au vin, mushroom risotto, roasted lamb, aged cow cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, shabu-shabu/hot-pot (clear broth), miso-glazed fish or aubergine, Korean BBQ (pork/beef).
Production Method
Hand-harvested; ~60% whole-cluster fermentation; 17-day maceration; aged ~14 months in French oak (c.40% new) and older barrels; bottled without fining or filtration. Estate organic/biodynamic practices.
