Tasting Note
Bright red and black cherry, violet and floral top notes with forest floor, earth and baking spice; silky tannins, lively acidity and a long mineral-tinged finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, roast lamb, coq au vin, mushroom risotto, beef stews, aged soft cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu or hoisin-glazed pork, beef bulgogi, miso aubergine/black cod, mushroom hotpot.

Production Method
Organically farmed with biodynamic practices; grapes were destemmed with cold pre-fermentation maceration and fermented in open vats, followed by 15–16 months in oak (approx. 20–30% new).

Domaine de la Vougeraie is a large organic/biodynamic Burgundian domaine (Boisset family holdings) with numerous Premier and Grand Cru parcels; La Justice is ~0.67 ha, planted 1966 on gravelly/calcareous soils.
