Tasting Note
Deep golden; aromas of apricot, peach, orange peel, honeysuckle, honey and toffee. Lush, viscous palate of tropical fruit, dried fig and bright citrus acidity, with a very long, persistent finish.
Food Pairing
Foie gras, blue cheese (Roquefort), tarte Tatin or fruit tarts, crème brûlée; Asian pairings: Thai green curry, spicy Sichuan dishes, mango sticky rice.
Production Method
Hand-harvested late-picked Petit Manseng; fermentation and élevage in small oak barriques (≈12–18 months). High residual sugar typical of moelleux wines (≈100–110 g/L).
Vineyard Info
Small amphitheatre vineyard called Les Jardins de Babylone owned by the Dagueneau family. Didier Dagueneau created the cuvée; his children Louis‑Benjamin and Charlotte continue the estate.
