Awards/Ratings
Ratings reported for 2019: La Revue du Vin de France ~94/100 (19/20); Wine Spectator ~94/100; press reports reference Robert Parker/Wine Advocate ~94+ (various merchant listings)
Tasting Note
Golden, honeyed core of apricot, quince and candied citrus with floral notes, exotic fruit and a saline chalky minerality; bright acidity keeps sweetness lively and finish long and crystalline.
Food Pairing
Foie gras (terrine or pan-fried), roast guinea fowl, truffled dishes, blue cheeses (Roquefort), fruit tarts; Asian: Peking duck, sweet‑savory pork dishes, mildly spicy Thai curries, coconut desserts.
Production Method
Hand-harvested by successive triages; slow pneumatic pressing, fermentation in new oak (demi-muids and cigar barrels) with ~12 months élevage; bottled after maturation. Residual sugar high (moelleux style).
Vineyard Info
Micro‑domaine (~3.2 ha) in terraced slopes of Aubertin; discovered by Didier Dagueneau and now run by Louis‑Benjamin Dagueneau, noted for low yields, meticulous sorting and artisanal winemaking.
