Tasting Note
Medium-bodied, silky and fresh; red and black cherry, plum, violet, cocoa and subtle cedar; polished tannins, balanced acidity and a persistent chocolate-tinged finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, beef stew, duck confit, grilled ribeye, aged cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu (roast pork), beef stir-fry with black bean sauce, mushroom ramen or soy-glazed short ribs.

Production Method
Hand-harvested, fermented in stainless-steel and wooden vats, aged 12–14 months in oak barrels (partial new oak); sustainable viticulture practices.

Second wine (La Croix de Montlabert) of Château Montlabert, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru estate (~20 ha). Estate dates to the 18th century; acquired by the Castel group in 2008.
