Tasting Note

Straw-golden; dried apricot, salted lemon, pineapple, smoked nuts and hay. Medium–full body with saline, umami and smoky notes, fresh acidity and a long, savory finish.

Western: seafood paella, shellfish, buttery risotto, roasted chicken, pork with light sauces, creamy cheeses. Asian: sushi/sashimi, tempura, grilled fish, Thai/ Vietnamese seafood, Chinese steamed fish.


Production Method

Hand-harvested Viura; barrel fermentation in fine-grained French oak, 3 months lees contact with weekly bâtonnage, aged ~6 months in oak and further bottle aging.

Produced by Bodegas Ollauri (Conde de los Andes historic cellars). Murua/Bodegas Muriel revived the estate; wines sourced from 30-year-old vineyards around Ollauri, Haro and Briñas.
