Tasting Note
Evolved Sangiovese: marasca cherry, dried herbs, tobacco, leather, cedar, baking spices and forest floor; dense, polished tannins, bright acidity and a long, savory mineral finish.

Western: roasted lamb, beef ragu, osso buco, truffle risotto, game birds (pigeon, duck); Asian: Peking duck, braised beef (red-cooked), Korean bulgogi or galbi, umami-rich mushroom hot pot, spicy Sichuan beef.

Production Method
100% Sangiovese. Fermented in stainless steel with temperature control; matured ~4 years in large Slavonian and French (Allier) oak casks/barrels, followed by approximately 2 years of bottle aging before release.

Col d'Orcia is a historic Montalcino estate (owned by the Conti Marone Cinzano / Cinzano family since 1973). Poggio al Vento is a single-vineyard 'windy ridge' overlooking the Orcia River and the estate's flagship Riserva.
