Tasting Note
Barrel‑fermented Sauvignon Blanc showing peach, preserved citrus, pink grapefruit, nashi pear, toasted nuts, honey and a saline minerality. Creamy, textured mouthfeel with vibrant acidity and a long, mineral finish.
Food Pairing
Western: grilled lobster with butter, seared scallops, roast chicken in cream sauce, aged goat cheese. Asian: Chinese-style crispy pork belly, miso-glazed black cod, sushi/sashimi, Thai green curry.
Production Method
Wild (indigenous) yeast fermentation in French oak barrels (c.8% new), slow 4–5 month ferment, then ~15 months on fine lees with blending/maturation in tanks and large wooden cuves.

Cloudy Bay, founded 1985, sources older vines from Motukawa, Widow’s Block, Estate and Brook Street in the Wairau Valley. Flagship Marlborough producer now within the LVMH group.
