Tasting Note
Opulent, botrytis-driven sweetness of honey, beeswax, jasmine, roasted apricot, quince and candied ginger, bright citrus lift and saline minerality; rich yet fresh with a long, spiced finish.
Food Pairing
Western: foie gras, blue cheese (Roquefort), roasted duck, fruit tarts, almond or apricot desserts. Asian: Peking duck, Thai green curry, spicy Sichuan dishes, dim-sum with sweet sauces, rich soy-glazed dishes.
Production Method
Hand-harvested in multiple successive picks of botrytised berries; pressed gently, fermented (often with indigenous yeasts) and aged in oak (partial new oak) then rested in vats before bottling.
Vineyard Info
Château Closiot (Clos Bonneau) purchased by Jean‑Marie Guffens in 2017; 8 ha on Barsac plateau with many century-old Semillon vines, neighboring Climens and Doisy-Védrines.
Delivery is typically completed within 5–7 business days from the date payment is received.
