Tasting Note
Honeyed apricot, quince and orange marmalade with honeysuckle, chamomile and toasted almond. Pronounced botrytis spice (ginger, nougat) framed by bright citrus acidity; opulent yet lifted, with a saline, very long finish.
Food Pairing
Foie gras, roasted duck, blue cheese (Roquefort), fruit tarts, crème brûlée; Asian pairings: Peking duck, spicy Thai curries, Cantonese roast pork (char siu), mango sticky rice.
Production Method
100% Sémillon affected by noble rot; hand-harvested in multiple passes, fermented and aged in French oak barrels. Vineyard run biodynamically with careful selection of botrytized fruit.
Vineyard Info
Premier Cru Classé Barsac estate (≈30 ha) run by Bérénice Lurton since 1992. Planted entirely to Semillon; early adopter of biodynamic practices and Biodyvin-certified, renowned for elegant botrytized wines.
